GROOMING
Please accept our apologies for the limited information at this time 04/11/08 but we are making changes to our grooming page to provide you with the most recent prices and information. We offer Baths, brush-outs, Shave downs, puppy cuts, nail cuts and special requests. We hand dry each dog, we NEVER put dogs in cages with hot air blowing in their face for hours until dry. Hand drying is tedious but produces amazing results. Shedding is considerably reduced as large amounts of undercoat are hand brushed out and we use a high velocity blower/dryer which blasts the coat out of the dog. We agree that the shampoo, condition and rinse will remove dirt and some loose hair, but the use of the cage dryers just dries the coat but does not REMOVE IT. Most larger Pet Salons use this drying method so that they can wash, and then put the dogs in cages to dry so they can Groom as many as possible in a given day. We instead limit the amount of dogs we groom each day based on the coat and the cut if needed. We approximate the amount of time it takes to "hand groom" . We will often spend and hour or more on a single animal. Heavy coats can take as much as 3-4 hours. Another differance is that your dog will stay in one of "suites". The same as a boarding client would stay in. They have access to the outside and it can even be arranged for them to have a "playdate" with another canine pal if the dogs gets along with other dogs. Prices can vary greatly depending on the condition of the coat.
